Baking pancakes and drinking chocolate milk …
Winter is a very special season. The days are short and dark. Nature is at rest. The branches have lost their leaves, the annual flowers have disappeared, of all woody perennials only the structural elements are left. Snow and ice are creating fairylike landscapes. We are thrilled to discover some winter flowering plants now and then. A Helleborus adds an extra vivid touch, the Hamamelis shows its colourful flowers. Wrapped into a warm coat, you can enjoy a long walk along an abandoned winter beach or through a winter pine grove.

autumn 2011
It was an exceptional summer, so does this mean that it will be an exceptional autumn as well?

It was a short spring in Belgium this year, quickly followed by an exceptionally early summer. Already by the end of April, we were able to enjoy the sun having a drink on a terrace, feeling just like on a holiday. And also the month of May surprised us with some hot, sunny days.

The love of life…
As soon as the sun begins to shine, we are all eagerly looking forward to the summer. Summer immediately makes us dream of the holidays as well. Enjoying and relaxing, spending some leisure time with family and friends. Time to party, to dine and wine, to picnic… or just to enjoy the rest and quiet. We prefer spending as much time as possible outdoors, where the lovely summer smells come to meet us. Herbs in the garden are refreshing. And they are also great to use in summer flower arrangements. For yourself or to take with you as a gift.
